The AgriStore System is a fully integrated Windows based real-time system which provides an easy to use interface allowing users in the retail business access to critical business information at the click of a button. This system is used successfully by client’s in the Agricultural Chemical business where central database processing and remote user connections are of vital importance.
All logistic subsystem modules are integrated into the MAgIC system General Ledger enabling information maintained by any one module to be accessible by all other modules. Information is consequently entered once, at a single validated source, and used throughout the system.
Microsoft SQL Server is used as the relational database engine and the system integrates fully with Microsoft Back Office products. The latest version of Delphi is used as the application programming language with a wealth of object oriented functions to ensure a standardized user friendly experience.
AgriStore can be installed as a fully integrated suite of all modules, or any combination of modules to suit any user requirements. The build-in system security features ensures data integrity and appropriate user access control.
AgriStore is specifically designed to handle a diversity of environments, particularly where a number of agents or store locations or branches, operate within the same database. Information and computing resources may be shared where required, and yet maintain strictly separate identities where appropriate. Emphasis was placed on Stock and Sales / Budget reporting to supply the retail business with vital statistical information for effective Stock Control and Sales management.
The main strength of the system besides functionality and ease of use is the reliable and cost effective connections from the central database server to remote work stations to facilitate online real-time processing from remote users like independent Agents or Representatives. The ‘Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server (ISA)’ using a ‘Virtual Private Network’ on the internet are used to accomplish seamless integration of remote users to the central system. Various methods of communications can be used from remote sites to the internet including Diginet, ADSL, G3, GPRS etc. to enable fast and reliable capture of all transactions live on the central SQL Server database. Access control provides a reliable mechanism to restrict remote users to specific menu functions.
